Absolutely well said David... I must admit that I feel the same way. While this photo has been proven to be fake it does illicit a certain amount of imagination that's intrinsic to us as humans. Great white shark attacks are one of the best possible topics to cover simply because each and every one of us absolutely fears such an attack. Though this picture is fake, noticeably much better than the mentioned "rope ladder assault" picture, it still brings a certain interest amongst us... The traffic to this topic on my site alone represents that.... It's easily one of the more popular posts on this site... In any event David, thank you for the post and your thoughts... God help us all if such a shark does exist! They truly are the most perfect predators on the planet....

O.K. I figured it was faked. But it was kind of fun to consider the possibilities before arriving at that sad but inevitable conclusion. It has (the foto) a very prehistoric flavor to it-as if the folks in the fore ground had wandered into the Jurassic era or something; the feeling one might have if one stepped into a clearing and observed a T-rex facing you from 30' away. Wouldn't you just pee your pants? At the very least. At any rate, I give the foto Dr. points for imagination-this pic is much more plausible looking at first glance than the one of the Australian navy diver ascending the rope ladder to the helicopter (an enormous great white is breaching the water and appears to be preparing to snatch the diver off the ladder) which looks faked for sure. So there it is. Another phony on the web. Entertaining though.
