So you want to make a low budget horror movie? Well you’re going to need blood and lot’s of it. The problem is that human blood, real human blood, is much more thick than water. Once exposed to air it begins to coagulate and becomes gooey and sticky. Here’s how to make very real looking blood for all your slash-’em-up horror film needs:

  • 1 cup clear corn syrup
  • A few drops of red food coloring
  • 1 drop of green food coloring

This will leave you with a very nice, dark looking substance. The end product is also safe and non-toxic so feel free to lather up your victim head to toe!

Happy filming!
